The Bumiputera students will continue to benefit from 2019 Budget, as more allocations are given to them in various forms.

In announcing the Budget 2019 in Dewan Rakyat on Nov 2, Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng said a total allocation of RM3.8 billion will provide scholarships and lending to all Malaysians via various ministries and agencies.

Out of this amount, RM2 billion is allocated to provide a scholarship for Bumiputeras under the sponsorship of MARA.

The Government will also allocate RM17.5 million over the next five years to Malaysia Professional Accountancy Centre (MyPAC) to produce 600 qualified Bumiputera accountants.

This is to meet the goal of 3,000 Bumiputera accountants registered with the Malaysia Institute of Accountants from the 1,554 today.

Meanwhile, RM210 million allocation will be given to Bumiputera Empowerment Agenda to strengthen education and human capital development programmes.

This will be done via Program Peneraju Tunas, Program Skil dan Program Peneraju Profesional which will be managed by Yayasan Peneraju Pendidikan Bumiputera.
